HOW DID THESE RETRIEVERS GET HERE?

On March 25, 2010, the Cloverdale Police Department removed 16 Golden Retrievers from a "backyard breeder" situation.  The environment was appauling.  King's Kastle was called upon to assist in the care, supervision, assessment, and eventual placement of the wonderful animals.

Since that date, King's Kastle has provided funding and services in the form of shelter, medical care, supervision, rehabilitation, food, socialization, temperment tests, whelped 9 puppies, and continue to provide these services to these, and other rescued dogs in our area.  The community and general public (you) were called upon to do whatever you could to help, and we applaud your generosity thus far!  We received FOOD, blankets, towels, toys, leashes, collars, bedding, shampoo, well wishes, kind words, and monetary donations.  So far we have received and or raised nearly $10,000 dollars to assist with the care of these dogs.  We are half way to o reaching our goal of $20,000 to offset the costs incurred for caring for these dogs.

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!  The cost to spay/neuter, vaccinate, test, feed, clean, assess, board, and place the dogs is still looming.  Your donations of money, flea treatments, bedding, leashes, etc. will ensure these. and other dogs in our care will no longer be victims of neglect or abuse, and instead find themselves a loving 'forever' home.

All donations can be made to King's Kastle, located at 1215 S. Cloverdale Blvd. in Cloverdale, CA  95425.  If you are interested in adopting or sponsoring one of our 'adoptable' dogs, please contact us at      kings_kastle@comcast.net   Remember to go to our adoptions page to see other dogs looking for loving homes.

We appreciate your support!

SPOTLIGHT HELPERS!!!
We would like to extend additional thanks to the following "Youth in Action".
Rykigh and Ruby (pictured left) are members of Girl Scout troop 10841.  In an effort to earn their Bronze Award through the Community Service, they have developed a plan to raise money for the Golden Retriever Crisis to help meet the financial needs of these great dogs.  They also come to King's Kastle every Wednesday for 1 hour to brush the remaining retrievers that are on site.  Look for the various cans around Sonoma County asking for your change to help meet the financial needs of these dogs.

Members of the Fountain Grove Community in Santa Rosa pulled together to have a bake sale at Traverso's market a few weeks ago.  Pictured to your right are various young girls in that community that assisted in selling items donated from various businesses.  Petite Char (the golden) couldn't get enough of the publics affection and generosity.
